Toys for Tots of Hernando County Receives First 2010 Campaign Donation

Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Spring Hill Unit, at its July meeting donated $1,500 to the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program of Hernando County. Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Spring Hill Unit, recently presented a donation to Lea's Prayers & Postage, Inc., to support our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Spring Hill Unit, Contributes to James A. Haley Veterans Hospital

On June 22, 2010, Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Spring Hill Unit, presented a check to the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital so that special events such as pizza parties, ice cream socials, etc. can be provided to the Veterans. Donations for any of the community projects can be given to an officer of the Auxiliary Unit #137 or to the Marine Corps League Detachment Officers, or mailed to the MCL with the project listed on the envelope and check/money order.

Auxiliary Judge Advocate Meets Stars Recipient

Marine Corps League Auxiliary Judge Advocate Joan Johnson met Master Sgt. William C. Poe at a recent Withlacoochee River Electric Company Event where he lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Master Sgt. Poe and his unit, stationed in Kuwait, received 40 thank you stars from the Auxiliary Stars for the Troops Program.

Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Spring Hill Unit, recently presented a check to the Brian R. Buesing Scholarship Fund, a fund developed in memory of Marine LCpl Brian R.
